Waste from environmental industry technologies and equipment must meet 60–70% of classification and recycling needs, according to the target set for 2030.
Deputy Prime Minister Trần Hồng Hà has approved the Program for the Development of Vietnam’s Environmental Industry for the 2025–2030 Period.
Accordingly, by 2030, Vietnam aims to review and complete the legal framework for developing the environmental industry, forming and promoting recycling industrial zones and clusters. This will serve as a foundation to guide and accelerate the growth of the environmental industry, moving toward the establishment of a specific decree dedicated to this sector.
In terms of specific goals, by 2030, technologies and equipment in the industry are expected to meet 60–70% of domestic solid waste classification and recycling demands. For gas and wastewater treatment, the target fulfillment rate is set at 60–80%.
